Product Description
The Sportive is rotomolded with a single layer super linear polyethylene that is much more rigid than comparable weight single layer boats. The somewhat flatter hull promotes better surfing characteristics which also helps in a following sea. The kayak has been designed to fit a range of small to medium sized paddlers.
The kayak is fitted with the high performance glass seat (unless otherwise requested) and a fiberglass cockpit rim and day hatch rim. There is plenty of room for large feet and extra leg room due to a raised area either side of the cockpit (“knee bumps”). The kayak has a low rear deck for easy rolling with a keyhole cockpit that gives excellent grip, control and quick exits when needed. The sloping bulkhead behind the seat allows the kayak to be emptied by lifting only the bow.
The Sport designed as a day/weekend kayak for the medium to large paddler. Length 15′ 7″, width: 21″, front hatch ~13.2 gallons, real hatch ~11.2 gallons, day hatch ~10.7 gallons, and cockpit ~38.0 gallons.
